August 11, 2008 – Vinfolio, the foremost fine wine and collector services company, announces the initial launch of it’s Hong Kong website, www.vinfolio.hk, and the impending Fall opening of its state-of-the-art temperature-controlled wine storage facility in the Tuen Mun area of Hong Kong. As a special pre-opening offer to be announced at this week’s Hong Kong International Wine Fair, Vinfolio is offering significantly discounted prices for wine storage and transportation for customers’ wine to Hong Kong from the United Kingdom (where many Hong Kong wine collectors have stored their wine prior to the Hong Kong duty cut).
Vinfolio announced plans in March to expand operations into Hong Kong. As its first step, the company has secured short-term office space and a 53,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Tuen Mun. This warehouse is being built out for optimal temperature-control wine storage and is scheduled to open this Fall. The Hong Kong facility is Vinfolio’s second after its storage facility in San Francisco. Customers use its free web-based cellar management application, VinCellar, to manage their wine across either facility plus other locations where wine is stored (such as a home cellar).
