Château Le Pin
Château Le Pin is produced by the Thienpont family (also proprietors of Vieux Château Certan) with an annual production of about 500 bottles. Le Pin's vineyards are located in the central part of the Pomerol plateau planted with 90% Merlot grapes and the balance Cabernet Franc. This wine was first produced in 1979 after the Thienpont family purchased the estate from Madame Laubie. The wines have a ripe, fruit-forward character that typically peak after 15 years of age. Château Le Pin takes its name from the presence of a single Pine tree growing on the property.
