Not only does Quinault deserve interest, but the whole of the St.-Emilion appellation has been enjoying a renaissance with collectors the world over. No longer are the stars of Bordeaux coming exclusively from the province of the Médoc and Left Bank. New ranks of winemakers set on eloquently expressing the pure fruit and lush personalities of the St.-Emilion are being discovered on a very regular basis, and Quinault helps lead the pack. Though Merlot-driven, this château also incorporates dollops of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon to produce wines of gorgeous opulence while never sacrificing the impeccable elegance and equilibrium of Bordeaux. The estate also makes a special cuvée called L'Absolut de Quinault that goes through its alcoholic fermentation in barriques.
